Register are wood engravings on polymer blocks.

During the design process the engravings were proofed and re-cut constantly, but as digitisation evolved, treatment of the final proofs differed.The finished artwork for the mastehad was printed on gesso paper from the block, using a platen press. The final proofs for the Thunderer and Daily Universal Register are digital.
